Albinoni, T. - Concerto in D Minor, Arr. Mark Lawrence, for Alto Tbn. & Piano - This piece is one of many written for oboe and strings by Albinoni. It provides a marvelous vehicle for the range and timbre of the alto trombone, as well as being very tuneful, beautiful and challenging. It is a perfect recital piece for alto trombone, and was recorded by Mark on his CD "Trombonology".
Bach, J. S. - Fugue in D Minor, Arr. Pierre Beaudry, for Tbn. Quartet - A great fugue by the master of the form, arranged by Canadian trombonist Pierre Beaudry. This fugue was recorded by Four of a Kind on their "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" CD and can also be performed with three trombones and tuba
Berlioz, Hector - Song of Bliss, Arr. Paul Welcomer, for Tbn. & Piano - This is a fantastic, melodic song by Hector Berlioz - an absolute beauty. It is a transcription from Berlioz' little-known piece "Lelio". Originally for tenor and orchestra, this arrangement also includes the lovely english horn melody at the end.

Strauss, Franz - Nocturno, Arr. Mark Lawrence, for Tbn. & Piano - A beautiful, singing piece originally written for horn by Richard Strauss' father. Franz was the solo horn of the Hofopera in Munich, where he played the premieres of Wagner's "Tristan", "Der Meistersinger" and "Parsifal". Mark recorded this piece on his CD "Trombonology".
